Just wanted to thank you again for the blessing you were to me, both a blessing in getting my Instrument Rating, but more importantly, a spiritual blessing. On my trip back home from Alexandria I had to make a stop in Greenville, SC before returning to North Carolina. The last half of the trip from AXN to GMU was IMC and I experienced clouds, rain, snow, and icing. At GMU I popped out of the clouds about 300 feet above the ILS minimums and then on the approach to home (HBI) I popped out at about 100 feet above minimums. Because of the excellent training I had received from you folks I had the confidence to fly in this weather. For anyone considering On His Wings Flight Academy, I would like to say to you that you will not be disappointed! The training is second to none. Dennis and John are down-to-earth people and you only have to be with them a few minutes to realize their goal is to enrich people's lives in every aspect. John was my instructor and even though he is a young man, he is more mature than many people that are well his senior. John not only has the knowledge to instruct, he also has the ability to discern the best way to communicate that knowledge to a student. Dennis has a wealth of knowledge that just amazed me. I have heard stories of flight academies that have instructors that are just building seat time and the emphasis seems to be to teach the student the minimums necessary to pass the check ride and then move them on so they can start on the next student. I promise you this is not the case at On His Wings Flight Academy. It was apparent to me from day one that On His Wings' goal was to teach me everything I needed to know to not only pass the check ride, but also to fly safely and confidently, no matter how long it took. For me, more important than the piloting skills I gained while there, was the spiritual atmosphere I found. Dennis, John and I spent time together inside and outside the classroom reading the Bible, praying together and meeting with other Christians in Bible study and prayer. I was truly amazed with the amount of Christians I encountered while at Alexandria, people whose lives are dedicated to serving the Lord, not just " I'm a Christian because that is a popular declaration now a days" people. The Bible says when we encounter fellow believers "Our spirit beareth witness one with another" and that happened to me time after time while in Alexandria. I left On His Wings Flight Academy with the belief that that Dennis and John teach at the Academy to make a living. They live their lives to help others get to Heaven. There is no higher goal!
