Alexandria is a small town with a Nordic atmosphere and beautiful, deep lakes. Located 130 miles northwest of Minneapolis/St. Paul, Alexandria features a small full-service airport in a close-knit, warm community.

The variety of instrument flying conditions dictates the necessity for us to be experts in conditions that range from thunderstorms to freezing conditions and blizzards.  

A variety of unique airspace is available, ranging from class G to class B, all within a one hour flight from Alexandria.

Newport News/Williamsburg Airport (KPHF) is conveniently located in an east coast metropolitan area with commercial airline service. KPHF is controlled class D airspace surrounded by a variety of class C and class B airspace, including the Washington Metropolitan SFRA. This offers a variety of airspace training and experiences. Weather conditions allow for year round training.

Newport News is located within minutes of exciting areas to visit including Williamsburg, Virginia Beach, Busch Gardens, and Washington DC is approximately a two hour drive.
